Mexican Singers Being Killed for Their Music
If you wonder why America has so many illegal Mexican immigrants, consider that this is a country that has it all yet is so corrupt that even their entertainers are in danger should their lyrics refer to drug-trafficking.

Some musicians in northern Mexico write songs called "narco corridos," which focus on the exploits of drug traffickers. Pena's songs were mostly romantic ballads.
Several "gruperos" have been slain in recent months.
Zayda Pina is one such singer and get this, she was in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound in her neck received the prior Friday. While she was recuperating, she was shot AGAIN, this time in the heart, fatally! In a hospital! So much for any sort of police protection as such things cost lots of money. Money the drug dealers have aplenty.

The link above provides names of other Mexican singers, most from the north, near Texas, who have been murdered for daring to sing about their country’s problem. Seems Mexican has a little PR war going on and doesn’t want the world to know about their thriving drug traffic.
So here’s my challenge. And I issue this challenge to Baba Streisand, the Dixie Chicks and other assorted American singers who get all big and brave by calling President Bush dumb and criticize this country that treated them so well…I challenge these jerks to try singing a song that you know might get you killed.
THEN I might have some respect for you spoiled jerks.
Manly Muslim Man Alert
The oxymoron in this lead is the association of the word “manly” with a Muslim male.
The investigation of a Morton Grove man charged with 22 counts of felony identity theft started when his son reported that his father had threatened to shoot him, authorities said Tuesday.
Officers were looking for weapons last week when they searched the home of Mohammad Afzal Sodagar in the 8600 block of Frontage Drive.
When police searched the home of this fine Muslim man, who threatened to shoot his son by the way…fine manly man…they found hundreds of credit cards, Illinois identification cards and other such items, all with Sodagar’s picture but with other names.
Now damn I must be dense but why would a Muslim be collecting various forms of identification? Further, this fine Muslim man seems to not have any sort of “official” employment.
Just throwing it out there, you think maybe this guy was manufacturing identities and selling them?
Police also found many passports in his home.
Do not ever believe there is no danger from these people.
Another Fine Illinois Male…This One American
If Drew Peterson had his way, we would believe that his wife Stacy is now sitting in a motel room with her lover, munching popcorn and yukking it up as the lovers watch the endless news coverage of her disappearance. She would not bother with such minutiae as calling her children or that sort of thing.
Drew Peterson is a smirking narcissist whose police badge got him a lot of leeway, including the murder of his third wife.
Maybe Drew awaits the fine Illinois state cops, who pronounced the death of a healthy woman in a dry bathtub as an accident, to get him out of the death of THIS wife.

Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky, told WFLD-TV that the warrant says police are seeking items that "may have been utilized in commission of the offense of first-degree murder or the concealment of a homicidal death."
The warrant also indicates interest in trace elements of several materials, including blue plastic, Brodsky told the Fox affiliate.
It seems that a new search warrant was issued for the home of Drew Peterson and the police (now augmented by the FBI) are specifically looking for some sort of blue material found in barrels.
It had been bandied about all week that Drew might have taken Stacy’s body somewhere via a blue industrial barrel in which she had been stuffed. Some relative of Drew’s was alleged to have helped him load just such a barrel in Drew’s vehicle.
This must still be the working theory of investigators as they’re going after more clues involving that blue barrel.
From the UK …a Missing Canoeist Returns After Gone Missing for 5 Years
The latest news on this John Darwin is that he HAS been arrested.

John Darwin, a 57-year-old canoeist who was presumed dead five years ago only to reappear mysteriously at the weekend, has been arrested.
Heh. Well this is just the most intriguing True Crime to hit the wires this past week. First, this fellow goes out on a canoe trip and boom, he goes missing. Hey, it’s possible. The canoe turns over; the running waters sweep him away. In 2003 his wife files for death benefits and gets an emergency ruling that allowed her to collect on her “missing” husband’s life insurance policies.
What’s breathtaking here, this fellow has two sons. Two sons who have been denied their father for some five plus years.
This past week Mr. Darwin suddenly walks into a police station and announces that he thinks he might be a missing man, that he has no memory of who he is and what happened to him.
Meanwhile, Darwin’s wife is in Panama of all places, all busy cashing in her bounty and doing God knows what with their finances.
The Darwin boys are now grown and as confused as can be about their father and his whereabouts these past many years.
The last I heard, Mr. Darwin has been arrested and let’s just say it was all a scam.
Hey, I’m as amused and admire a fine scam as much as the next guy but to go off and leave your children?
Mr. and Mrs. Darwin have a lot of ‘splaining to do.
Child Services Scores Again
Ladies and gems, I understand that many social service agencies across these fruited plains are woefully understaffed and overworked. I also understand that these social workers have to walk a painfully fine line with having to protect a vulnerable child while putting the child back in a safe family home.
On this Blog I often document failures of this system to work. Unfortunately, and painfully sad, when the system does not work an innocent child often dies for lack of doing a thorough job by the agencies charged with protecting him or her.

Charity Bailey and Lawrence Green had not completed all of the steps the Marion County juvenile court and state Department of Child Services required for them to get their children back, but on Aug. 30, a magistrate approved unsupervised trial visits with the children.
Three months after these unsupervised visits were approved by the magistrate indicated above, 3-year-old Tajanay Baily was beaten to death by her parents.
This case has many questions. First, Charity Bailey and Lawrence Green had been given a list of steps they had to take in order to get their children. As of the date that an innocent child was turned back over to this couple, many of these items had not been completed
So why was Tajanay turned over to this couple for UNSUPERVISED visits if the court knew this? A court appointed guardian was given to Tajanay but such niceties are ineffectual if the lines of communication are not clear. For the court appointed guardian for Tajanay had no idea that the child had been returned to her parents. Why wasn’t Tajanay’s guardian told of this?
Who didn’t do their job in this matter? Will they be fired? The case file on Tajanay has been released but it took a court summons to get it.
What are they hiding?

Nevaeh Richardson was only nine days old…that’s nine DAYS folks, when her mother rushed her to a hospital after finding the infant bleeding from her mouth.
Nevaeh died from massive trauma to her body on Thanksgiving night. She had bruises all over her tiny body and had been sexually assaulted in her genitals and anus. Her father was arrested for the crime.

LINCOLN PARK -- Prosecutors charged a Lincoln Park man today in the death and sexual assault of his 8-day-old daughter, who died from massive bleeding and blood poisoning after the attack.
Little Nevaeh, which is “heaven” spelled backwards, died horribly before she had a chance to live.
Let the fine fellow pictured above forever be immortalized here and may he enjoy his life behind bars.
Let us pray that Nevaeh is at peace and happy in her namesake, heaven.
A Real Weird Crime

Madison County Sheriff's Deputies are trying to figure out who killed, skinned and draped a large dog over a Huntsville High School teacher's gate east of town.
The incident comes less than a month after Jerick Hutchinson, another Huntsville High School teacher, killed a raccoon with a nail gun and skinned it as part of a class lesson.
So this teacher, Jerick Hutchingson, kills a raccoon and skins it as part of a class lesson? So another teacher finds a dead, skinned dog over his or her front gate, a teacher suspected of turning Hutchingson in to the SPCA for that raccoon thing?
First, heh, I’m thinking it was Hutchingson who did the deed, just going on a hunch here. Evidently this Hutchingson likes to kill and skin animals, scary when you think this fellow is a teacher.
Further, why was it necessary to report Hutchingson to the SPCA? Shouldn’t this guy’s own principal handle the matter?
I’d be enraged if my child were subjected to this sort of “lesson”. Finally, I see some real problems with this Hutchingson guy. If investigators prove he’s the one who skinned the dog and did this deed I’d expect him to be forever removed as a teacher of any kind.
He’s evidently not rational.
Joseph Duncan Pleads Guilty
If ever a man needed a date with a deadly needle it would be Joseph Duncan.
This man broke into a home he evidently chose at random and killed all occupants save two young children, Shasta and Dylan Groene. He then took off with Shasta and Dylan and kept them at a state park where he sexually abused both children, eventually killing Dylan. Shasta was saved when a waitress at a restaurant recognized her when she came in accompanied by Duncan.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A man who murdered the family of two young siblings, then sexually abused the children before killing one of them at a remote Montana campsite, pleaded guilty Monday to federal charges that could lead to his execution.
This case is being prosecuted carefully by a team of both state and federal prosecutors. Dylan Groene was murdered in a federal park.
The idea is to try and keep young Shasta from having to testify about her ordeal and yet still get this guy a date with a needle.

FOCUS ON Natalee Holloway

In May of 2005, Natalee Holloway, a recent graduate just barely of age, joined some of her school mates on a much-anticipated graduation trip to the island paradise of Aruba.
Came the time to fly back home, Natalee was nowhere to be found.
The last time Natalee was seen she was leaving with three locals, one Deepak Kalpoe and his brother Satish. Also along was Joran Vandersloot, a local kid known to frequent Aruba's night spots trolling for pretty American girls.
For two and a half year the Aruban and Dutch investigators fooled around with this case, "arresting" many suspects, including those three Aruban brats, then letting them go.
Suddenly, in November of 2007 Joran and the Kalpoe brothers are arrested. An announcement by Aruban authorities came with news of the arrests that "new and incriminating" evidence had been found.
Will justice ever come for Natalee Holloway?
