Lisa Montgomery Gets Death Penalty
More than likely this sentence will be the end of the story as regards Lisa Montgomery. For last week Montgomery was sentenced to death in a Kansas City court room. For this humble Blogger, it’s a bittersweet moment.
Originally covered on this Blog HERE, HERE, and HERE. These links are just the first few links back in late 2004 and early 2005 when I was a new Blogger. It was a crime that shocked the nation.
For Bobbie Jo Stinnet was a young woman of just 23 years of age when Lisa Montgomery met her on a dog afficiandos web site. Lisa posed as an interested buyer in a rat terrier bred by Bobbie Jo, showed up at her house as that possible buyer, than strangled Stinnet, removing her unborn baby from her womb just before Bobbie Jo died.
It was a most horrific crime. Montgomery took off with Bobbie Jo’s baby, taking it home and telling her husband that she had just given birth to the infant girl in a nearby clinic. Yes, Lisa Montgomery’s husband was an idiot of the highest order as he somehow believed that story. Lisa had pretended to be pregnant the months prior and no one’s saying Montgomery herself was playing with a full deck.
Lisa’s scam didn’t last but a day or two when she was picked up and arrested for the murder of Bobbie Jo Stinnet. Bobbie Jo’s widower claimed his child and is raising the baby without her mother.
For Bobbie Jo Stinnet should be alive today, happy, healthy in her mid-20’s, perhaps pregnant again, busy with her child and raising her beloved rat terriers. Instead Bobbie Jo is dead and her daughter will never know her mother.
Lisa Montgomery has been sentenced to pay the ultimate price for her crime.
More than likely, as is too often the case for death penalties nowadays, Lisa will never see a needle beyond any required to keep her in good prison health.
As a result of that early Blog coverage of this crime, I came to know Lisa’s children. Yes, Lisa had four children of her own. Lisa had a tubal ligation long before she married Mr. Montgomery so she could not have any more children. A few of Lisa’s daughters that I’ve chanced to talk to through the years are fine young ladies and my heart goes out to them. For they’ve got to continue on with their lives, hold their heads high and live with the mother who broke their hearts and knowing how evil their mother turned out to be.

Did Fine Judge Moses Have to Listen to This Young Boy’s Story?
The story of fine Massachusetts Judge Moses was covered on this Blog, HERE. Since this piece of shit was released to the world by this same Judge Moses, Bill O’Reilly of Fox News has been after this judge who did, yes he did, released Corey Saunders to the world that he may rape a little 6-year-old boy in a public library.
Even though, get this, THREE Psychologists and the District Attorney pleaded with Judge Moses NOT to release Saunders, who was already in prison for attempted rape of a child.
Judge Moses has been hiding from the Bill O’Reilly crew who have been haunting the judge since his release of Saunders, using the reasoning, get this, that since Saunders hadn’t sexually attacked anyone in JAIL, than he is safe to be sent back into society.
At which point the fine Saunders immediately strode into a public library and raped a 6-year-old boy.
First, why does this Judge Moses still have a job? Second, did they make Judge Moses sit and listen to this young boy’s testimony as everything fair and good would require? Third, why does Judge Moses insist on releasing these sex offenders back into our midst? What perversions does this fine judge harbor that has him over-riding THREE psychologists’ warning that Saunders was a danger to children? Fourth, where the hell is the citizenry of Massachusetts, why aren’t they rioting over this judge?

Corey Saunders, 26, is accused of raping the boy January 30 while the child's mother worked on a computer just outside the room and less than 10 feet away at the New Bedford Free Public Library.

Teacher Charged With Having Sex With Student in Trouble Again
This time Carrie McCandless was not in bed with an underaged boy but she was discovered sleeping with a parolee and drunk as a skunk.

The teacher who pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a student at Brighton Collegiate High School is in jail for violating terms of her probation - namely, having unauthorized sex and testing positive for alcohol consumption.
Part of McCandless’ probation was prevention of having “unauthorized” sex, whatever the hell that is, but more, she was to avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
Frankly I don’t care if Ms. McCandless, a pretty woman who should have a bright future in front of her, beds down with all the prisoners on Block B. I don’t much care if she drinks too much as this is the purview of her parole people. I am keeping track of her behavior because I have a hinky suspicion that this broad might end up teaching school again because those mighty teachers’ unions have weird clauses in their contracts.

Trial of Cyril Wecht Gets Rocky
As I stipulated on my first True Crime report HERE, on Cyril Wecht, I dislike the man intently.
It’s not rocket science for even the dimmest of us to know this guy sells autopsy results as required and if the price is right, his vaunted position on Fox News notwithstanding.
Which should be no surprise that Mr. Wecht is on trial for abuse of his taxpayer paid office to further his own private goals and pursuits, this camera hog.
The charges against Wecht are considerable and I don’t know about you folk, but I am all for anyone pursuing the American dream with all the vigor in the world. I don’t think they should be doing it on MY dime is all.
Wecht is accused of, just for one example, donating unclaimed cadavers to a local university in exchange for use of their space for his own happening little autopsy practice. There’s plenty more against this guy.
The jury seems to be having a difficult time trying this guy and now one juror has been kicked off.
We’re following this case because folks, this Wecht fellow stinks to high heaven.

Missing Marine Couple an Enigma

A pair of Marine newlyweds are missing in California and while investigators believe, for now, the two took off on their own, the bride's family fears the woman was taken forcibly by her new husband.
It’s a strange set of circumstances here in that two adults are missing. It’s the military’s job to report them as possible deserters and indeed their status is listed as an “unauthorized absence”.
Yet the relatives of this female marine swear that she was taken against her will.
Adding to the quagmire, an ATM machine shows a video of Margaret McMahon accessing her bank account. $400 was withdrawn and McMahon did not appear distressed in the video.
So what to do, what to do? Adults are allowed to take off without telling anyone. And yet if this young woman was taken against her will she could be in mortal danger.
Relatives of Margaret McMahon say that their search of her apartment reveals that she left much of her stuff behind, necessary items that a woman would never leave willingly. Relatives also assert that Margaret’s new husband, George Reid II, was verbally abusive to his new wife and had an extreme jealous streak.
Law enforcement are at an impasse but the cavalier attitude by both the military and local law enforcement as regards Maria Lauterbach has to weigh heavily on their minds. Lauterbach was reported missing and all concerned seemed to shrug their collective shoulders late last year, 2007. Lauterbach was found dead and her body burned at the home of Cesar Laurean, the man she accused of raping her.
I find it telling that Ms. McMahon has not phoned her relatives even with the widespread publicity on this case. Military authorities declare that the couple took off to avoid deployment to Iraq. Local law enforcement are in a quandary. Resources are as always too slim to send investigators off looking for a couple who took off merrily by their own choice. On the other hand, it’s going to look real bad if Ms. McMahon comes to harm when she could have been helped.
Margaret’s family has contacted local congress critters for assistance on this matter.

Speaking of Maria Lauterbach
The FBI has released a photoshopped photo of Cesar Laurean with a beard. Investigators believe Laurean might have grown a beard to help with his disguise.
The pity of this chase of Laurean, a man who murdered a pregnant woman and burned her body and that of her unborn child in his own backyard, fine, fine fellow, is that if authorities had reacted quicker when Lauterbach was reported missing by her roommate she might still be alive. If nothing else, this fine Laurean fellow might not be in Mexico cavorting with his rich relatives and eluding capture with their help.
Not to mention Lauterbach’s own mother who pooh-poohed the disappearance of her daughter and declared for all the world to hear that her daughter was prone to tall tales.

Is a Serial Murderer on the Loose in Wisconsin

A Wisconsin college student found dead in her Madison apartment has sparked fears that a killer may be loose near the sprawling university campus.
The above coed’s murder, Brittany Zimmermann, is the third in the area of the University of Wisconsin in less than a year. In January of this year, a 31 year old male student was found stabbed to death in his apartment. In July of last year, the decomposing body of a female student was discovered after she disappeared on the night of 6/23/07.
There have been several other murders of college students in various parts of the country but the concentration of three in the University of Wisconsin area has investigators, college personnel and students concerned about a possible serial killer in the area.

Reward Raised in Lane Bryant Shooting Case
I truly believe that someone is hiding this guy, perhaps his mother or a girlfriend who must be so proud of him. Because drawings, pics of a possible car and rewards have been publicized since he brutally shot and killed five women inside of a Lane Bryant store in the Tinley Park mall in Illinois.
Now the reward for finding and convicting this guy has been raised to a hundred grand.

The reward will be paid to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and charges in the Feb. 2 slayings of five women inside a Lane Bryant clothing store in Tinley Park. The reward will be given regardless of whether a suspect is convicted in the case.

Drew Peterson’s SECOND Wife Goes Before Grand Jury
I know the legal machinations of the law move slowly at times but this Drew Peterson, hey, one wife died from falling down in a shower and now his current wife, Stacy, is missing and has been since late last year.
Drew is a former cop and his fellow state police appeared to have given him a pass on the very suspicious death of his third wife. Now we have this slower than slow grand jury thing going on and I found this tidbit intriguing.
For it is Drew’s SECOND wife (his marriage to Stacy is his fourth) who recently testified before a grand jury investigating the death of Drew’s third wife, the one before Stacy.

The second wife of Drew Peterson appeared Thursday before the Will County special grand jury investigating the death of Peterson's third wife and the disappearance of his current wife.
Vicki Connolly, who was married to Peterson for 10 years, declined to discuss her appearance before the grand jury as she left the Joliet courthouse annex. Connolly told the Tribune last year that Peterson was controlling and told her he could kill her and make it look like an accident.
I wonder how many free deaths of one’s wife you get in Illinois if you’re a cop.

Four Year Old Raped Repeatedly by Father

A Hamilton County grand jury today indicted the parents of a 4-year-old girl, alleging the girl’s father repeatedly raped her and the mother knew about the abuse but failed to stop it.
My precious Kaitlyn Mae is four years old. My heart aches for this young girl who suffered so much at the hand of her father. Her mother failed to help the child even though she knew what was happening.
Even more tragic, allowing for these pathetic two who shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce, is that the young girl had once been taken to the hospital for bleeding from her vagina. The story these fine parents told the hospital was that the girl somehow fell on Lego blocks and that caused her wounds.
Hospitals are charged with reporting such suspicious cases of possible child abuse and the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital let that nonsense about Lego blocks pass.
That poor innocent little girl might have been spared much agony in that she was seen by a CHILDREN’s hospital of all places, in January early this year.
